Environmental Assessment: Aquatic / Terrestrial
Information on ecologically sensitive and biologically important areas and resources will be studied and provided to project planners in early phases of the project. All KYTC/DEA requirements and natural resource agency protocols will be followed to conduct the study. The work will include on-site investigations of aquatic and terrestrial habitat throughout the project area. The data generated will be used to develop viable alternates and to assure that no "show stoppers," such as endangered species or significant wetlands, are overlooked. The project team will coordinate closely with KYTC/DEA staff and communicate regularly with state and federal resource agencies to complete this study.
