Environmental Assessment: Socioeconomics

The Socioeconomic Base Study will be accomplished in accordance with the requirements of the KYTC/DEA Environmental Procedures Manual, DEA Position Paper 005-1996, FHWA Community Impact Assessment guidance, Environmental Justice guidelines, directives on the Uniform Act, Environmental Justice, FPPA, and all related FHWA policy and procedures. The work will include on-site examination of the project area and direct contact with businesses and residents of the project area. Research will also be conducted with state and local governmental bodies, community development agencies, special interest groups, and other project area stakeholders.
